AR 400 sheet and plates are abrasion-resistant steel with high carbon content and alloying constituents such as manganese and chromium, giving them good hardness (400 HBW) and wear resistance. They possess a tensile strength of 1250 MPa and a yield strength of 1000 MPa, guaranteeing high durability under stress. The sheets are weldable and formable well despite their hardness.
